Environment
We source environmentally responsible products and have designed an effective, comprehensive recycling program that makes it easy for our customers to join us in recycling everything from corrugated cartons and toners to electronics, cell phones and batteries.
This initiative helps to preserve our natural resources, reduces landfill material and can even save on disposal fees.
In 2009, we were chosen for the second consecutive year, as one of the Waste Reduction Awards Program winners. The Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP), established in 1993, is an annual program administered by the California Integrated Waste Management Board which recognizes California businesses that have made outstanding efforts to reduce non-hazardous waste and send less garbage to our landfills. Other 2009 recipients include Southern California Edison, Apple Inc. and Google.

Community Involvement
True to our company mission to become an exemplary corporate citizen, we recognize a responsibility to support the communities we serve.
Office Solutions supports the City of Hope, a biomedical research, treatment and educational institution dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support City of Hope through payroll deduction contributions by our employees.
We also support Meta, a non-profit organization, providing mentorship and scholarships to Hispanic youth in Southern California, with the vision of increasing the opportunities for Hispanics to become successful business and community leaders. Office Solutions' President, Bob Mairena, is a founding member and currently sits on Meta's board.
Saint Joseph Ballet provides programs in dancing, academic assistance and family services for low income youths. Workshops, seminars and counseling services are provided for parents to sustain their important role they hold in their child's success. Saint Joseph Ballet continues its services to its students who have already graduated high school and have continued their education at a college level. Office Solutions' President, Bob Mairena, currently sits as a board director on the Saint Joseph Ballet board.
